Glitter & Razz is an Oakland, CA-based (very) small business that is owned and operated by teaching artists.  Our definition of teaching artist is

a creative genius who has dedicated her/his professional life to sharing her/his love and skill for art making with children and communities

Teaching Artists, like all other artists, are highly valuable members of society who are often not paid commensurate with our talent, experience, and education.  When we founded this company 5 years ago, our goal was to build a company that would be dedicated to supporting teaching artists to make a living doing what we do best.  This kind of support takes money and we are proud that we are building a growing organization that kids, parents, and educational professionals love and value.

At the same time, as a social venture dedicated to lighting up and connecting the world through play, it is very important to us that we make our programs accessible to as many people as possible. We give a lot of  thought to our pricing – balancing it so that we can cover the costs of our high quality teaching artists and the experiences we provide with the realistic needs of families in the Bay Area.

And yet, we understand that our prices still is not affordable to all families. Here’s what we do about it:

  1. We always make payment plans an option. We know that, sometimes, all of us need a little break and a little time to make it work.
  2. For families who are struggling to make ends meet, we offer a combination of %15 off plus a payment plan.  CLICK HERE to complete an online application to see if you qualify for this deal>>>
  3. We work in partnership with schools and community organizations to raise funds to help kids with little to no access to program like ours attend camp. If you work for an organization like this, you should email Lynn (lynn@glitterandrazz.com) and set up a time to talk.
We so appreciate your interest in Glitter & Razz Camps and hope that it works out to have your kids join us for an incredible summer 2012!
